The David E(a)gles are an American Rock Institution.  They are.  REALLY!!!!!!1  Formerly known as Jar of Flies, Xris Xross (Christian Contemporary), The Mambo Bombo Dance Maniacs, The Killlerz, Hot Property, and Umlaut Power, The David E(a)gles have become Iowa (and the world's) 3rd most popular Eagles cover band.

Although widely associated with The Eagles' music, the band's sound incorporates heavy metal and acoustic elements. Since its formation, The David E(a)gles have released twenty six studio albums, three EPs, two live albums, nine compilations, and seven VHS tapes. The band is known for its distinct vocal style which often included the harmonized vocals of Dave and his cat, Catrelle.

The David E(a)gles rose to international fame as part of the cover band movement of the early 1990s, along with other Iowa bands such as Norvana, Pearl Jelly, and SoundVegetableGarden. The band was one of the most successful Eagles cover music acts of the 1990s, selling over 35 albums worldwide, and over 14 in the US alone.
